Business Litigation Group lawyers Dan A. Brody and Edward J. Heath co-authored the article “New DOJ Commentary Promises Leniency for Companies Who 'Do the Right Thing’ and Self-Report Violations,” published in the Connecticut Law Tribune on August 15, 2018. The article covers the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA), it’s broad reach, investigating suspected FCPA violations, and whether to self-report misconduct to the Department of Justice (DOJ.) Mr. Brody and Mr. Heath also examine the DOJ's new commentary “intended to provide the private sector with further clarity on how the DOJ approaches FCPA cases.”
The Robinson+Cole Mentor of the Year Award recognizes and honors lawyers throughout the firm for their outstanding guidance, support, and encouragement of fellow lawyers in their pursuit of professional growth. The honor was presented to four lawyers this year: E. Christopher Kehoe, Rachel V. Kushel, Keisha S. Palmer, and Earl W. Philips, Jr.

Palmer were featured in the article “High School Students Take Mock Trial Seriously,” published in UConn Today on August 16, 2018. The article spotlights the Summer Mock Trial Program, co-sponsored by UConn School of Law and Robinson+Cole in partnership with Hartford Public High School. The piece covers the program’s co-founding by Ms. Palmer during her second year at UConn School of Law and how the program led Ms. Orr to pursue a legal career.
