Finance Associate - Boston, MA

Robinson+Cole, an Am Law 200 Firm, seeks an associate to join its Finance practice group in its Boston office. 

Robinson+Cole's Finance practice group represents lenders and borrowers in a variety of highly sophisticated secured and unsecured financing transactions, including transactions secured by, or based on, all manner of real estate and personal property. We work with banks and their special finance and merchant banking affiliates, as well as with insurance companies, venture and opportunity funds, financial subsidiaries of major industrial corporations and other financial intermediaries. Our Finance Group works with clients in a broad range of industries such as health care, waste management, retail, broadcast and cable television, affordable housing, cellular telephone and radio, real estate development, timeshare finance, energy, sovereign tribal nations, employee benefit plans, electric, gas and water utilities, municipal finance and financial services. We are familiar with the particular financing needs of these industries as well as with specialized collateral such as securities, real estate, vessels and aircraft.

Qualified candidates will have a minimum of four years of experience representing clients with regard to financing and real estate transactional matters including: commercial real estate lending, construction lending, loan participations, loan workouts, foreclosures, tax credit financings, reviewing title and survey, condominiums (residential and commercial), commercial leasing, real estate acquisitions, and interest rate derivative products.  Candidates should work well as part of a team and enjoy a fast-paced work environment.

Insurance Coverage Litigation Associate - Miami, FL

Robinson+Cole, an AmLaw 200 firm, seeks an associate with at least two years of litigation experience to join its Insurance + Reinsurance Practice Group in its Miami, Florida office. 

Robinson+Cole has one of the leading insurance practices in the United States, focusing primarily in insurance coverage litigation for property casualty and life, health, and disability insurers.  The practice in the Miami office is heavily concentrated in the litigation of a broad range of property insurance disputes, including those arising out of Hurricane Irma, as well as some coverage disputes under commercial liability insurance policies.  The position may also provide some support for the firm’s health insurance litigation practice.

We are looking for a candidate with superior academic credentials, excellent writing and analytical skills, and large-firm or equivalent experience to join our team.  Admission to the Florida bar is required.  Law review experience and/or judicial clerkship experience are a plus.  The successful candidate will be expected to assume substantial responsibility, including drafting of briefs on critical motions, management of discovery, depositions and court appearances.
