Biography
Cara Bilotta focuses her practice on all aspects of corporate and transactional law, including mergers and acquisitions, private equity and venture capital transactions, finance transactions, securities law and compliance, and general corporate and contract matters. She is a member of the firm’s Business Transactions Group.
Mergers and Acquisitions
Cara represents corporate clients and private equity funds in a wide range of corporate transactions, including mergers, acquisitions, leveraged buyouts, joint ventures, and equity and debt financings.
She has assisted The Nielsen Company, a global information and measurement company, in numerous transactions, such as its sale of Claritas. She also recently represented a private equity sponsor in connection with the acquisition of two strategic targets, one of which was a leveraged buyout involving senior and mezzanine debt financing.
General Corporate Services
Cara also counsels clients on general corporate matters, including entity formation, corporate governance, and general commercial matters. Her clients are in a wide range of industries, including digital media, retail, manufacturing, and technology and software companies.
Prior to joining Robinson+Cole, Cara was an associate at White & Case LLP, where her practice focused on mergers and acquisitions. She served as a legal intern to the Honorable Victor Marrero of the United States District Court for the Southern District of New York.
