Nicole S. Mulé

  • Overview

Nicole Mulé is a member of the firm's Labor, Employment, Benefits + Immigration Group, in which she represents both public and private sector employers in a variety of labor and employment matters. Her background in the business industry provides her with insight into how to best help clients achieve their often intertwined legal and business objectives.

    Employment Counseling

Nicole provides employers with day-to-day employment counseling on employee discipline, wage and hour compliance, disability and reasonable accommodation, family and medical leave, unemployment, employment and separation agreements, employee handbooks, and personnel policies.

She has helped clients with various employment-related matters. She recently wrote an employee handbook for an international company’s United States subsidiary, has drafted offer letters, and has written notices to employees who are facing disciplinary action due to wrongdoing.

    Employment Litigation and Administrative Advocacy

Nicole defends employers in lawsuits filed in both state and federal court involving claims of discrimination, retaliation, wrongful termination, and other employment disputes.

    Pro Bono

Nicole is committed to doing pro bono work. She has volunteered for the American Civil Liberties Union’s Western Massachusetts Legal Office, by processing client intake requests and identifying potential client concerns. She also has donated her assistance at the Hampden County Bar Association Legal Clinic, where she provided guidance to pro se litigants.

Prior to joining Robinson+Cole, Nicole worked for more than a decade in the business and sales industries, including at a private equity portfolio company and a Fortune 500 technology-focused company. Her duties included creating business plans, managing a multi-million dollar sales budget which included responsibility for year over year growth, and overseeing the stage-gate process for new project initiatives. While attending law school, Nicole served as Production Editor of the Western New England Law Review and was a member of the school’s Mediation Moot Court Team.
